Working with the Organizer

I usually work alongside the client as we organize. It is the client’s job to make the decisions about what to keep, where to keep it, and what to get rid of. It is the job of the organizer to guide the client and ask questions that will help them make quick decisions about sorting and purging to keep the process moving forward.

I usually work in three or four hour increments. This prevents both the client and the organizer from getting "burnt out" too soon. Exceptions can be made to these time limits. Occasionally the client and organizer will be working on different projects in the same area in order to make the best use of the time limit. Time is needed at the end of each session for clean-up, payment, assessment of the project, and future plans.
